GameHUB combines the research results on game development supplied by the PHL, the UHasselt, the KHLim, and Group T. In close cooperation with a number of students, the researchers plan to develop three pilot games. The processes involved in the development of a game are documented, and the knowledge acquired is shared with entrepreneurs through study days and workshops.

Not only game development companies are involved in this process: GameHUB also wants to cultivate the interest of start-ups and other enterprises. The project began in April 2010, running for a duration of two years. Once completed, the GameHUB knowledge centre will be accessible via the ‘game-incubator’ located at the C-mine site in Genk (Belgium).
