Maajid Nawaz

Maajid Usman Nawaz ( Urdu : ماجد نواز , [maːdʒɪd̪ Nawaz] , born 2 November 1977) ^[2] is a British activist, author, columnist, radio host and politician. He was the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for London ‘s Hampstead and Kilburn constituency in the 2015 general election by . ^[3] He is ook the founding chairman of Quilliam , a counter-extremisme think tank dat seeks to challenge the narratives of Islamist extremists. ^[4]

Biography

Nawaz was born in Southend-on-Sea , Essex , England to parents or Pakistani origin.
